Proposals and estimates

Proposals are based on the site information available to us and the specification agreed with you in writing. Where opening up an existing structure reveals work that could not reasonably have been seen beforehand, we will price it and get your approval before continuing.

An indicative figure given before a site visit is exactly that. The figure that counts is the one issued against a measured scope.

Design and drawings

Concept drawings, layouts, elevations, 3D views and sanction drawings are produced against the brief agreed at the outset. Drawings remain our intellectual property until the fees relating to them have been settled.

Statutory approvals are pursued on your behalf but are granted by the relevant authority, and their timelines are not within our control.

Payment

Work is booked and then invoiced in stages set out in your proposal. Stage payments fall due on completion of the stage.

Materials and joinery made or ordered to your specification are committed once the design is signed off, and amounts covering them cannot be refunded after the order is placed.

Scheduling and access

We agree a programme before work begins. You will need to give us reasonable access to the site, along with power and water, throughout construction and fit-out.

Where a delay is caused by circumstances outside our control, we will tell you as soon as we know and agree a revised date with you.

Variations

Any change to the agreed specification is treated as a variation. We confirm the cost and the effect on the programme in writing, and it proceeds only once you have approved it.

Workmanship and warranties

Our workmanship is covered by the terms set out in your project agreement. Manufacturer warranties on materials, fittings and appliances are passed to you in full and are governed by the manufacturer’s own terms.

Cover does not extend to damage caused by misuse or accident, or to work later altered by someone else.
